AACGUARD Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AACGUARD website, client software, and related services (collectively, “AACGUARD”). By downloading, installing, or using AACGUARD, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Last updated: 2026-10-30 · applies to AACGUARD client v0.0.14

1. Scope of AACGUARD

AACGUARD is a client‑side anti‑cheat solution built for community and private game servers for titles such as CS:GO, CS 1.6, and CS2. It consists of:

  • A Windows client that runs scans on the player’s machine for cheat programs, loaders, injected code, external cheats, cheat configurations and related traces. It stays in the system tray, starts with Windows by default, and includes AACGuard Live (checks while Counter-Strike or another Valve game runs), a quick check, report export, Steam sign-in and optional PRO features.
  • A web panel that receives scan reports (verdict, score, scan log, masked IP and hardware fingerprint) and displays results to server administrators and on public scan pages.
  • APIs and backend services that process scan data and power the dashboard, statistics, and future automation features.

AACGUARD is an unofficial tool and has no affiliation with Valve, Steam, or any game publisher.

2. Eligibility and accounts

To use AACGUARD, you must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If you are under 16 (or under the age of digital consent in your country), a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Notice for you, and PRO may only be bought by an adult. If you act on behalf of a community, server, or organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

Certain AACGUARD features (such as the admin panel) may require an account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use AACGUARD only for legitimate anti‑cheat and moderation purposes on your own servers or with the explicit consent of the server owners. You must not:

  • Use AACGUARD to harass, dox, or otherwise target players outside of normal server moderation.
  • Sell or resell AACGUARD scans or access to the AACGUARD panel without our permission.
  • Use AACGUARD to collect information unrelated to cheat detection or game integrity.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass, disable, or interfere with AACGUARD’s protections or detection logic.
  • Use AACGUARD in violation of any applicable law or third‑party terms (including game publisher terms or anti‑cheat policies).

4. How scans work and what we collect

A full scan runs only when a user explicitly starts it (by pressing Start or Restart in the client, or Full scan in the tray menu). The client requires administrator rights and does not install a kernel driver. It keeps running in the system tray when its window is closed and starts with Windows by default (this can be turned off in the tray menu). While it runs, AACGuard Live checks what is running right now (Section 13); full scans only run when you start them.

During a scan, AACGUARD analyses on the player's PC:

  • Running processes, modules loaded into the game, code in the game's memory without a file, programs that read or write the game's memory, and click-through overlay windows drawn over the game.
  • Loaded and registered kernel drivers, services and scheduled tasks.
  • File names in game folders, AppData, Downloads, Desktop, the Recycle Bin, RAM disks and connected removable drives; proxy DLLs and ASI plugins in game folders; and CS 1.6 / CS:GO / CS2 cfg files.
  • Windows activity records (Prefetch, BAM / DAM, ShimCache, AmCache, MUICache, Run keys, shortcuts, Recent files, Jump Lists, Explorer folder history, the Windows 11 launch log, deleted-file names and Windows Defender history) for every user profile on the PC.
  • USB storage devices the PC has seen, and programs and files used from them.
  • Browser history and the DNS cache, compared with cheat-site and cheat-search lists (only matches are kept).
  • Signs of tampering (cleared logs, disabled Prefetch, clock changes, blocking aacguard.com, test-signing / kernel debugging), HWID spoofer traces, and hardware serial numbers, which are turned into one-way hashes on the PC.

After a completed scan, AACGUARD sends a report to the web panel containing:

  • Steam ID and Steam display name.
  • Client version, verdict (CLEAN, SUSPICIOUS or CHEAT DETECTED), score, check and detection counts, and the status of each check.
  • The running game, browsers found, the current or last game server, and a masked IP address.
  • A one-way hardware fingerprint used to detect ban evasion (raw serial numbers are never sent).
  • The full scan log, which can include file paths, Windows account names, USB device names and serials, and cheat-site visits.
  • Only if the player opts in: detailed check messages and the content of detected cheat / HvH cfg files.

Players can turn the upload off in the client's Data use & consent window; the scan then runs locally and nothing is sent. Scan results, including the scan log, are shown on public scan pages. The full list of what is read and sent, and how it is stored, is in the Privacy Notice.

AACGUARD does not upload executable files, documents, browser databases, registry files, screenshots or memory contents. Future versions may add deeper checks; any change to what is read or sent will be reflected in the Privacy Notice and the changelog first.

5. False positives and dispute process

No anti‑cheat is perfect. AACGUARD may occasionally produce false positives or false negatives. Final moderation decisions are always in the hands of server administrators.

If you believe AACGUARD flagged you incorrectly, we recommend:

  • Recording a video that shows AACGUARD running, the flagged result, and your normal gameplay.
  • Contacting the relevant server administrator or AACGUARD support with this proof and the link to the scan page, which includes the scan log.
  • Using Report false positive in the app's scan report for a single finding you believe is wrong (see Section 19), or an appeal on aacguard.com for a ban.

Appeals are free and reviewed by AACGUARD staff. Force Clean (Section 21) is a different, paid service: it only hides verdicts and is not a review.

AACGUARD provides signals and tooling; individual servers and communities decide how to enforce their own rules.

6. Intellectual property

AACGUARD (including the client, installer, web panel, detection logic, UI design, and branding) is proprietary and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works of AACGUARD unless explicitly allowed in a separate written agreement. Any third‑party libraries or assets included with AACGUARD remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licenses.

7. Changes, updates, and future features

AACGUARD is under active development. We regularly update the detection engine, add new forensic modules (for example, improved browser coverage, additional system artifacts, or kernel‑assisted checks), and expand the web panel with new statistics and review tools.

We may:

  • Modify or remove specific detection modules.
  • Change how scores, verdicts, and heuristics are calculated.
  • Add new integrations, automation features, or APIs for server plugins.
  • Adjust how and how long scan metadata is stored on our servers.

Your continued use of AACGUARD after such changes means you accept the updated behavior and Terms. Significant changes to data handling will be reflected in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

AACGUARD is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that AACGUARD will detect all cheats, remain bypass‑proof, or stay compatible with all systems, game builds, or third‑party tools.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AACGUARD and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of reputation, bans, service downtime, or disputes between players and server owners arising from the use of AACGUARD.

You are solely responsible for how you interpret AACGUARD’s results and how you apply them in your community.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to AACGUARD (client, panel, or APIs) at any time if we believe you are violating these Terms, abusing the service, or jeopardizing its integrity.

Upon termination, you must stop using AACGUARD and uninstall the client. Sections intended to survive termination (including, without limitation, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect new features, changes in law, or changes in how AACGUARD operates. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date on this page.

By continuing to use AACGUARD after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using AACGUARD and uninstall the client.

11. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, need clarification about how AACGUARD works, or wish to discuss custom licensing or integrations, please reach out through the Contact page on this site.

12. Server list

The Server list shows Counter-Strike game servers and statistics collected from their public query responses.

  • Adding a server. You may only list a server you operate or are authorized to manage. Ownership is confirmed by placing a verification token in the server's hostname. Verifying a server that is already listed transfers its ownership to your account.
  • Owner content. Server owners are responsible for the description, website and Discord links they add. Content that is illegal, misleading, malicious, or that promotes cheats or gambling is not allowed and may be removed.
  • Statistics. Player counts, maps, player names, scores and playtime are read from the server's public query responses and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Players are identified by name only, so different people using the same name are counted together.
  • Server page content. Owners can add a country, a short description, tags, a banner image, a website, a Discord invite and a TeamSpeak address. This content must be yours or used with permission and must not be hateful, sexual, violent, misleading (for example pretending to be another server or AACGUARD) or link to cheats or malware. Member and user counts are read from Discord's public invite information and the TeamSpeak server's public query port and may be inaccurate. AACGUARD may remove content or reset a server page that breaks these rules. Animated server themes are a PRO feature and are hidden while the owner's PRO is not active.
  • Removal. Owners can remove their server at any time, which deletes its statistics. AACGUARD may remove any server at its discretion, for example if it is offline for a long time or breaks these terms.
  • No affiliation. Listed servers are operated by third parties, not by AACGUARD. A listing is not an endorsement, and AACGUARD is not responsible for what happens on listed servers.

13. AACGuard Live

  • AACGuard Live starts with AACGuard (also at Windows start). It checks running programs, overlays and drivers every minute and, while CS2, CS:GO, CS 1.6 or another Valve game (such as Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, Deadlock or Left 4 Dead) is open, also the game every 30 seconds (code injected into it, programs with access to its memory, proxy DLLs). It does not read history. It can be turned off in the tray menu until AACGuard restarts.
  • Everyone's live status (CLEAN, SUSPICIOUS or CHEAT DETECTED), game, server and session time are shown publicly on the Live page and the player's profile. When you are signed in with Steam in the app, your status is marked verified; otherwise it is listed under the Steam account logged in on your PC and marked not verified. A status only gets worse during a session.
  • The live status is reported by the player's own AACGUARD client. Like any check running on the player's PC it is a signal for server administrators, not proof and not a guarantee that a player is or is not cheating. Section 5 applies.
  • You must not fake, replay or tamper with live status reports, or report a status for another player or a Steam account that is not yours.

14. AACGUARD PRO

  • What it is. PRO is an optional paid plan linked to your Steam account. It currently adds the PRO badge and cosmetics, and the Fresh Start tool in the app. The features included are listed on the PRO page. PRO never changes how scans are scored, never hides or removes scan results, and is never required to scan.
  • Payment. PRO is bought for a fixed period (for example 1 or 12 months) with a one-time payment through PayPal. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Prices are shown on the PRO page before you pay. Buying again adds the time on top of any PRO time left.
  • Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because PRO is digital content that starts right after payment, before paying you are asked to agree that PRO starts immediately and to acknowledge that you then lose this right of withdrawal. If you do not agree, the purchase cannot be completed.
  • Refunds. Apart from the cases required by law (for example if PRO does not work as described), PRO is not refundable. If you believe you were charged by mistake, contact [email protected] before opening a PayPal dispute.
  • Changes and end. We may change, add or remove PRO features and prices for future purchases; time you already paid for is not shortened. If we stop offering PRO, we will refund unused paid time on request. If your access is ended under Section 9 because you broke these Terms, unused PRO time is not refunded where the law allows this.
  • Custom profile content. PRO lets you upload an avatar and a banner and add a bio and links. You must own or have permission to use what you upload, and it must not contain nudity or sexual content, hate, harassment, threats, scams, malware or tracking links, impersonation of other people, staff or organisations, or anyone else's personal data. You are responsible for it; we may remove it, without refund, if it breaks these rules, and repeated or serious abuse can end your PRO under section 9. Custom content is shown only while PRO is active.
  • Losing PRO for breaking the rules. If you break these Terms or the community guidelines (for example offensive or impersonating profile content, scam links, harassment or hate, confirmed cheating, payment fraud or chargebacks, or ban evasion), we may revoke your PRO at once without a refund. We tell you why on your profile, with the evidence we used. After a revocation you cannot buy PRO for 5 months, and your public profile shows a community guidelines notice for that time. Scanning and AACGuard Live are not affected. If you think we made a mistake, contact us and we will review it; when we lift a revocation we may give back the PRO time you had left.

15. Fresh Start (PRO)

  • Fresh Start permanently deletes the files you select from the scan's findings, including shortcuts (.lnk) to cheat files such as the ones Windows keeps in its Recent folder. If you tick the browser history option, it also deletes the cheat-site and cheat-search entries the scan found from your browsers' history (only those entries; an open browser is skipped). You decide what is deleted; check the list before confirming. Deleted files and history entries cannot be restored by AACGUARD.
  • Fresh Start is a clean-up tool, not a way to hide past cheating: it cannot run while a game is open or you are on a server, it never removes Windows' activity records, and later scans show that a Fresh Start was done and which files it removed. Recent deletions of cheat files can still count in later scans.
  • To the extent permitted by law, AACGUARD is not liable for files you chose to delete with Fresh Start.

16. Exported reports

The app can save a scan report as a PDF or web page on your PC. An exported report is not signed and can be edited, so it is not proof on its own; the official record is the uploaded scan on aacguard.com. Presenting a modified report as genuine is not allowed. Exported reports can contain file paths and other details from your PC: share them only with people you trust.

17. Sponsor banners

The app shows sponsor banners at the bottom of its window, and some pages of this website show them in a small “Sponsored” area (never on scan results, the Trust Center, the legal pages or checkout). Sponsors are marked “AD” or “Sponsored”. A sponsor's banner and website are their own responsibility: AACGUARD does not endorse their products and is not responsible for external websites you open from a banner. Sponsors have no access to scans or any data about you, and sponsorship never affects scan results. To advertise, contact us on Discord.

18. Pre-match check links

  • The pre-match check only looks at what is running on your PC at that moment (running programs, code inside the game, programs with access to the game's memory, overlays, drivers, game-folder DLLs and autostart entries). It does not read your PC's history, so it is not a replacement for a full scan.
  • A share link is created only when you press “Create share link”. Anyone with the link can see your Steam name and ID, the result, the game, the time and the app version for 3 hours. Links made without Steam sign-in in the app are marked “not verified”.
  • A link shows the result of one moment. It is not a guarantee that a player is clean, and server administrators decide themselves whether to accept it. Creating links to mislead others, or sharing someone else's link as your own, is not allowed. Links may be rate-limited.

19. False-positive reports

  • “Report false positive” in the app sends one finding you select, with your optional note, to AACGUARD for review. We review reports at our discretion; a report does not change an existing verdict or ban by itself.
  • If we confirm a mistake we may update the detection rules for everyone. Rule changes apply to future scans; to have an existing scan or ban reviewed, use an appeal on aacguard.com.
  • Do not send false or abusive reports or personal data in the note. Reports are limited per day and kept for at most 12 months (see the Privacy Notice).

20. Languages and translations

The app can be shown in several languages. Translations, including the in-app data use notice, are provided for convenience. If a translation differs from the English text, the English version of these Terms, the EULA and the Privacy Notice applies. Scan logs, findings and verdicts (CLEAN, SUSPICIOUS, CHEAT DETECTED) stay in English so that they read the same for every administrator.

21. Force Clean

  • What it is. Force Clean is an optional paid service on the Force Clean page that hides the verdicts of your own past scans on aacguard.com. You can hide one flagged scan of your choice, all your flagged scans, or all your flagged scans and lift your AACGUARD ban. The options and prices are shown on the Force Clean page before you pay. It is separate from PRO and is not included in it.
  • Hidden, not reviewed. Force Clean is not a review by AACGUARD staff and is not a decision that a verdict was wrong. The scan page shows the verdict CLEAN with a “FORCE CLEANED BY USER” label, and the findings, score and log are hidden from other visitors. AACGUARD keeps the original verdict, score, findings and log, and may use them for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations and to restore the scan under these Terms. If you believe a verdict is wrong, you can appeal it for free instead (see Section 5).
  • Only your own, past scans. Force Clean works only on scans of the Steam account you are signed in with, and only on the scans you have at the moment of payment. Later scans are judged as usual: a new flagged scan is shown publicly and can lead to a new ban.
  • Lifting a ban. The unban option removes the AACGUARD bans your account has at the moment of payment. It does not protect you from future bans, and creating or using other accounts to avoid a ban is still not allowed. Force Clean never affects VAC, game or other bans from Steam or game publishers, and AACGUARD cannot change them.
  • Server administrators and others. Server administrators and communities decide themselves whether they accept a force-cleaned scan, and may treat it differently from a scan that was clean on its own. Force Clean cannot remove copies, screenshots or records of a scan that others made before it was hidden.
  • Payment and right of withdrawal. Force Clean is paid once through PayPal and applied immediately after payment. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because Force Clean is a digital service carried out in full right after payment, before paying you are asked to agree that it is applied immediately and to acknowledge that you then lose this right of withdrawal. You are also asked to confirm that you understand the verdicts are hidden, not reviewed. If you do not agree, the purchase cannot be completed.
  • Refunds and disputes. Apart from the cases required by law (for example if Force Clean does not work as described), Force Clean is not refundable. If you believe you were charged by mistake, contact [email protected] before opening a PayPal dispute. If a payment is refunded, reversed or disputed, we restore the original verdicts and any bans that were lifted.
  • Misuse. If Force Clean is bought with someone else's payment method, through payment fraud, or for an account that is not yours, we may undo it without a refund. We may change the options and prices for future purchases or stop offering Force Clean; Force Cleans already applied stay in place unless they are undone under this section.
