Sharing a Scan With a 6-Digit Server Owner PIN

Every uploaded scan gets a PIN. How players share it, how admins open it in the Server owner window, how long it works and what stays private.

A scan only helps you if the right admin can see it. Since version 0.0.14, every uploaded scan comes with a random 6-digit Server owner PIN. You read it out in voice chat or paste it in a ticket, and the admin opens your whole scan inside their own AACGUARD app. This guide explains how the PIN works for both sides.

For players: where to find your PIN

  1. Run a full scan and let it upload (see How to run your first scan).
  2. At the end of the scan, the report shows a share card with your PIN, a Copy button, Copy link and Open scan page.
  3. Give the PIN, or the link, to the admin who asked for the scan. Both show the same scan.

The PIN belongs to that one scan. If you scan again, the new scan gets a new PIN. A local scan that you chose not to upload has no PIN, because there is nothing on our side for an admin to open.

For admins: opening a PIN

  1. Open AACGUARD and choose Server owner in the left menu.
  2. Type the 6 digits the player gave you.
  3. You see the verdict, score, the game and server the scan was made for, which games the cheat traces belong to, every finding with its strength and date, and the full scan log. Buttons let you copy the link or open the scan page in your browser.

Looking up a PIN only sends the PIN. Nothing about the admin's own PC is uploaded.

How long a PIN works

A PIN works for 7 days after the scan. After that, use the scan link or the player lookup, which keep working for as long as the scan is stored. To stop guessing, our server only allows a limited number of lookups, and fewer wrong ones, from the same address in a short time. Six digits are enough for a week-long code that is read out loud, but never treat a PIN as a password for anything else.

What stays private

A PIN shows exactly what the public scan page shows, with the same masking: your Windows account name and personal names found in file paths are hidden, and device serial numbers are masked. Staff-only details, such as the full list of other Steam accounts used on the PC, are not shown through a PIN either; admins only see how many of them have a ban.

PIN, link or pre-match check?

  • PIN: quickest to read out in voice chat, opens in the app, works for 7 days.
  • Scan link: best for tickets, forums and Discord; it opens in any browser and does not expire.
  • Pre-match check link: a 10–30 second look at what is running right now, valid for 3 hours. Use it right before a match, in addition to a full scan. See Pre-match checks.

Common questions

  • "The PIN doesn't work." Check that it is less than 7 days old and that the player sent the PIN of the scan you want (each scan has its own). The scan link always works.
  • "Can someone else use my PIN?" Anyone who has it can view that one scan for 7 days, the same as anyone you send the link to. They cannot change it, appeal it or see your account.
  • "Can a player fake a PIN?" No. The PIN is created by our server when the scan is uploaded and always opens the scan as it was stored. A screenshot of a result can be faked, which is why admins should always open the PIN or link themselves.
