Using AACGUARD on Your CS 1.6, CS:GO or CS2 Server
How server owners and admins can ask players for scans, check them quickly, list and verify their server, and handle results fairly.

Community servers can't use the kernel-level anti-cheat that protects official matchmaking, and most server-side plugins only see what a player does in the game. AACGUARD adds a look at the player's PC, on request and with the player's knowledge. This guide shows how admins use it day to day.
1. Ask for a scan
The simplest rule is "scan before you play" for matches, mixes or new players. Point players to aacguard.com and our first scan guide. A full scan takes under 20 seconds. The player sends you the link to their scan page.
For a faster check right before a match, ask for a pre-match check link: in the app, Pre-match check → Create share link runs a 10–30 second check of what is running and gives the player a link to send you.
2. Check the result
- Open the scan link. You see the verdict, score, the game the scan was for, the server the player was connected to, and every finding with where and when it was found.
- Use the player lookup on the home page to see all uploaded scans for a SteamID, Steam profile link or name.
- The Detected players and Banned players lists show recent flagged players across all servers.
- The Live page shows who is running AACGuard Live right now, with their status, game and server.
Scans know which server they are for: AACGUARD detects the game and the server the player is connected to automatically, so results reach the right admins without the player typing anything.
3. Decide fairly
AACGUARD gives evidence, and you make the decision. A few rules that keep decisions fair and defensible:
- Treat SUSPICIOUS as "look closer", not as a ban. Read the findings and ask for a new scan.
- Check whether traces are recent and for your game. Old traces and cheats for other games are shown but weigh less or nothing.
- Write down the scan link in your ban reason, so the player and your other admins can see the evidence.
- Let players appeal. Every scan page has an appeal button, and an accepted appeal is something you should take into account.
Our guide Reading a scan result explains the verdicts and the scoring in detail.
4. List and verify your server
The server list ranks Counter-Strike community servers by real player activity, with live player counts, maps, 24-hour and 7-day graphs and all-time top players. Fake servers that copy real servers' names or show fake player counts are detected and hidden.
To manage your server's page, open Server list → Add server, enter your address and put the short verification token AACGUARD gives you into your server's hostname. Once verified, you can add a description, tags, country, a banner, your website, Discord invite (with live member counts) and TeamSpeak address. You can remove the token from the hostname afterwards.
Players on your server who were seen by AACGUARD in a scan or in AACGuard Live are linked to their AACGUARD profile in your online and top player lists, with a badge if they were detected or banned.
5. Explain it to your players
Players are more willing to scan when they know what it does. The short version you can paste in your rules:
AACGUARD is a free scanner you run yourself. It looks for cheat traces on your PC, installs no driver and does not touch your game. It does not upload your documents, photos or passwords. Results are shown to admins with the evidence, and you can appeal any verdict. Details: aacguard.com/trust.php
