Linking Discord and Getting the PRO Role

How Discord linking works, what AACGUARD can and cannot see, how the PRO role is synced, and how to unlink.

Linking your Discord account to AACGUARD adds the Discord Verified badge to your profile and, if you have PRO, gives you the PRO role on the AACGUARD Discord server automatically.

Animated example with made-up names and numbers.

How to link

  1. Sign in on aacguard.com with Steam and open Settings.
  2. Press Link Discord. Discord's own page opens and shows what AACGUARD asks for.
  3. Approve. You are sent back to Settings, which now shows your linked account.

What AACGUARD gets

Only your Discord user ID and name, and permission to add you to the AACGUARD Discord server. AACGUARD never sees your Discord password, messages or login tokens, and your Discord name is not shown on your public profile, only the badge.

The PRO role

If you have PRO, you get the PRO role straight away when you link. The role is kept in sync automatically: it is added when PRO starts and removed when it ends. If you renew, it comes back.

Problems

  • Discord shows an error about the redirect address: open the site as aacguard.com (not an old bookmark) and try again.
  • No role after linking: the role sync runs regularly, so wait a few minutes. If it still doesn't appear, contact us on Discord.

Unlinking

Press Unlink in Settings. The PRO role is removed, the badge disappears and the link is deleted.
