Catch real cheats.
Not your legit players.

AACGUARD is a lightweight client-side anti-cheat scanner for CS2, CS:GO and CS 1.6 community servers. It finds loaders, injected modules and tampering without kernel drivers, and without flagging harmless apps.

By downloading AACGUARD you agree that scans may be logged and associated with your Steam account on our servers, allowing server admins to review your scan history.

Features

What a scan actually checks

Built for Counter-Strike communities, from CS 1.6 to CS2. 46 checks run side by side, and each finding says where it was found, when it happened and how many points it counted.

External cheats

Programs reading or writing the game's memory, invisible ESP overlays drawn over the screen, and fake DLLs or .asi plugins in CS 1.6, CS:GO and CS2 folders.

Renamed cheats

Programs are checked for what is inside them, and Windows' own memory lists what ran since start-up, so a cheat renamed, deleted or run from a USB stick is still found.

Cheat servers & hardware

A program talking to a cheat or loader server is caught while it runs. Arduino "mice", KMBox, Cronus and DMA cards count when used on match day.

What Windows remembers

Prefetch, BAM, AmCache, ShimCache, MUICache, UserAssist, recently deleted files and USB history: cheats leave traces even after they are removed.

CS 1.6 game files

Wall textures, player models, smoke sprites and game DLLs are compared with Valve's originals, so see-through walls and bright models are found without a running cheat.

AACGuard Live

Keeps checking while you play: every minute for what is running, every 30 seconds for the game, including connections to cheat servers. Everyone's status is public on the Live page.

Fair verdicts

Old traces count less, cheats for another game are not counted, macro software and the protectors of non-Steam builds do not count by themselves, and name guesses alone never give CHEAT DETECTED.

Alt accounts

Every Steam account used on the scanned PC is checked for VAC, game and AACGUARD bans, so second accounts of banned players stand out. Non-Steam CS 1.6 installs are found too.

Public and appealable

Every uploaded scan has its own page for server admins, with the date and points of every finding. Players who think a verdict is wrong can appeal it from the app or the page.

Updates

What's new in v0.0.16

2026-10-24 · Hotfix: no more false SUSPICIOUS verdicts from "cheat site looked up recently"

View full changelog
Current release 6 changes

Version 0.0.16 fixes a mistake in v0.0.15 that marked many clean players SUSPICIOUS. The new check for connections to cheat servers looked up the addresses of all known cheat sites itself, which put every one of them into Windows' list of recently looked-up sites. The next scan then reported dozens of "cheat site looked up recently" findings on almost every PC. Please update: scans made with v0.0.15 can no longer be uploaded.

  • 01
False SUSPICIOUS verdicts The connection check no longer looks up cheat sites at all; it only uses the addresses your PC already looked up itself, read without any network request.
  • 02
Safer verdicts Sites in Windows' list of recently looked-up sites now count at most 75 points together, however many there are, so one event can never fill a scan with dozens of…
  • 03
Process Lasso Process Lasso keeps a handle to every game it manages (to set priority and CPU cores), so it was reported as a program with access to the game's memory.
  • 04
Phone tethering Sharing a phone's internet over USB (Android and iPhone) or Bluetooth uses a random network address by design; it was counted as a "changed MAC address" and no longer is.
  • 05
"checks run" count Since the checks run side by side, the number of checks shown at the end of a scan was too low (about 96,000 instead of about 155,000).
  • 06
Scans already uploaded Scans made with v0.0.15 that were marked SUSPICIOUS only because of this are being reviewed and cleared.

  1. 1

    Install and run

Download AACGUARD and run it on Windows. It needs administrator rights to read Windows activity records, and installs no driver.

  2. 2

    Scan

Running programs and the game, cheat files in common folders, Windows activity records (Prefetch, BAM, AmCache...), cheat sites in browser history and game folders.

  3. 3

    Verdict on your PC

Each finding is weighed: old traces count less and cheats for another game are not counted. You get a report that explains every finding, and you can export it.

  4. 4

    Report and Live

The report goes to aacguard.com for server admins, and AACGuard Live keeps checking while you play. Think a verdict is wrong? Appeal it from the scan page.

FAQ

Questions players ask

Something else? Ask us on Discord or through the contact page.

When does AACGUARD run?

A full scan runs when you press Start. AACGuard Live runs while the app is open (it starts with Windows by default) and checks what is running every minute, and the game every 30 seconds while one is open. You can turn Live and Start with Windows off in the tray menu.

Does it use a kernel driver or touch my game?

No. AACGUARD runs in user mode and installs no driver. It reads what is running and what Windows recorded; it does not inject into, modify or write to any game.

What is uploaded to aacguard.com?

The scan report: your Steam ID and name, the verdict and score, the scan log with every finding (with its date and points), the server, the Steam accounts used on the PC, the fingerprints (hashes) of cheat files found, a partly masked IP and a hashed hardware fingerprint. Never your documents, passwords or file contents: programs are read on your PC to find cheat code, but only the matching names are reported (cfg files identified as cheat configs are the only contents sent, and only with detailed diagnostics on).

I was flagged by mistake. What now?

Open your scan page, press "Appeal this verdict", sign in with the same Steam account and explain what happened, with screenshots if you have them. Every appeal is reviewed and you see the answer on the appeal page.

Which games are supported?

Full scans and AACGuard Live for CS2, CS:GO and CS 1.6 (Steam and non-Steam builds), Live for other Valve games such as TF2, Left 4 Dead and Half-Life, and cheat detection for FiveM, RedM, Minecraft, Roblox and Garry's Mod.

Is it free?

Yes. Scanning, AACGuard Live, reports and appeals are free. AACGUARD PRO is optional (a badge, an animated name and Fresh Start) and never changes scan results.
